Daring Greatly is a mindset we embrace as the Junior League of Racine (JLR) continues in our second century of serving our community through civic outreach and leadership development. Building on our rich history in the greater Racine community, today, we are a League dedicated to improving the lives of women and children though effective action and trained volunteers. Our mission is simple, yet powerful: we promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Racine has endured meaningful change over the last 100 years and is upon significant new economic developments. As such, the Junior League of Racine has embraced these changes and has been a vital part of the community and its non-profit outreach. We are excited to expand as thought-leaders in the community and are also are proud to be affiliated with wonderful community programs and our legacy partners, such as: Racine Children’s Theatre, LiOUD, HALO, Racine Zoo, River Bend Nature Center, Cops ‘N Kids, and so many more. As Racine transforms, so does League; our members have found the training we receive to be a vital part of the success in supporting existing and newly-formed programs in our community.
Last year, we announced our community issue of youth mentoring. This year we are happy to announce our partnership with Big Sisters of Greater Racine for our community initiative. We are excited to provide a customized curriculum program and training to the Big Sisters of Greater Racine members, focusing on Social Media and Digital Citizenship.
Our longevity would not be possible without the supporters of the Junior League of Racine, dedicated volunteers and community advocates. We thank you for your making the Junior League of Racine part of your give-back to the community.
