President’s Note

Transforming League. Transforming Communities.

Transforming league and transforming communities is the focus we embraced as the Junior League of Racine enters our second century of serving our community through civic outreach and leadership development.  Building on the rich history in our community, today we are a league dedicated to improving the lives of women and children of the Racine community through effective action and trained volunteers.

Racine has endured meaningful change over the last 100 years and is upon significant new economic developments. As such, the Junior League of Racine has embraced these changes and been a vital part of the community and it’s non-profit outreach. We are excited to expand as thought-leaders in the community but are also are proud to be affiliated with wonderful community programs and partners in our history such as: Racine Children’s Theatre, Lioud, HALO, Racine Zoo, River Bend Nature Center, Cops ‘N Kids, and many more. As Racine transforms, our members have found the training we receive in League to be a vital part of the success in existing and newly formed programs in our community.

This year, we are happy to announce our current community issue of youth mentoring. Through our community research, we have identified this as a prominent issue in Racine. We look forward to expanding on this throughout the year and providing youth with the tools for success. Our longevity would not be possible, without the supporters of Junior League of Racine, dedicated volunteers and community advocates. We thank you for your making The Junior League of Racine part of your give-back to the community.
